Strathcona Wilderness Centre Ski/Snowshoe/Social

Our Registration is full, but is NOT full given, that we are now an outside event. If you are unable to register please email our host directly (on this link) and advise of your intent to join us.

Come enjoy a XC Ski, snowshoe or nature walk in the beautiful forest then drop by a campfire for a hot drink, snack and visit with club members. Ceyana has the outdoor Firepond Campfire Site booked from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. It is located beside the lake and a short walk just southwest of the Information Centre/Parking Lot area. There is no charge for this social but Ceyana would like you to please preregister, see link below. (So we can communicate with you in case covid protocols require changes, and to know the quantity of snacks required). However, the SWC has Day Use Fees and equipment rentals fees, see details below.

SWC Facility open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Recommend arrive early for rentals as they are very popular, and must return equipment by 3:30 p.m. No rentals go out after 2:00 pm.) Mask must be worn to go inside, to the rentals or washroom in the Information Centre.

There is a SWC FACILITY DAY PASS FEE – it ranges from $2.75 for kids up to $14 per family.

There are SWC EQUIPMENT RENTALS available. See SWC website for details. Please note rentals are 1^st come 1^st served, Photo ID required for rentals, each adult and minor must complete and sign rental waiver - recommend prior to arrival to save time to download/print/sign waivers at home. Mask must be worn indoors in rental facility. Day rental prices range from $8.75 for snowshoes, $3.75 for Baby Glide/pulk, $2.75 to $20 for various sizes and types of waxless skin XC Skis.
