South Saskatchewan River Voyageur Brigade (tentative dates)

  • 13 Jul 2027
  • 18 Jul 2027
Six days down the South Saskatchewan through Saskatoon, arriving at Batoche during the Métis Nation’s annual Back to Batoche Days. Organized by Lorraine Johnston-MacKay with Rick Zroback and Peter Stone, working with Métis and First Nations partners, Parks Canada, river municipalities and the Saskatoon Canoe Club. Route and stops are being finalized; registration will open once the plan is set, and CVBS membership is part of registration.

CANADIAN VOYAGEUR BRIGADE SOCIETY: Has confirmed 2 brigades for 2027. South Saskatchewan River in July and Fort Langley in August. Both trips are in the early planning stages. Check back with CVBS Future Brigades for updates. Ceyana is not involved in planning these brigades, however, club members can organize group participation if they find enough interested paddlers. If you are possibly interested in participating in either one of these brigades, contact Ian Hosler at mal1@ceyana.ca who is taking down names. There is no guarantee the Ceyana is sending a group to either brigade.

Join CBVS to be first to hear about updates and attend their virtual AGM on January 10, 2027.
