Tim has again offered to manage this fine paddle on Astotin Lake, in Elk Island National Park (yes you need a park pass).  A great birding opportunity, the mama birds will be out escorting the new ones about.  This is a little bigger lake than Islet, and thus usually a little longer paddle... sometimes we have cake on the water, or an island, or maybe back under a picnic shelter.

Yes, you must bring all your own gear, boat, etc.  Check the weather forecast for appropriate dress.  Check the attendance for car pooling. Yes you can borrow club boats gear, see our Equipment page here.

Yes, we cancel if the forecast is ugly (smoke, thunderstorms, cold fronts blowing in, big wind, etc.) and we confirm with registrants by email... best reason for registering!

Not a Ceyana Member (required for registering online), drop the Trip Leader an email and ask to join.  You will need to sign a club waiver on arrival at the start.
