Greg has offered to lead an Upper Red River trip with camping at the Red Deer River North group site. These reaches are for river/white water paddlers with intermediate or better skills. This river can offer multiple rapids in the Class II + to easy III range. Lots of ledges, rocks to dodge, fast water, great paddling at reasonable flows 50 to 90 cms or so. Paddlers must be equipped with either wet/dry suit, full flotation for the boats, throw bags, helmets and PFDS.
Greg has booked a group camp site and everyone will need a $30 FOESA membership to camp (click here).
We do cancel if it is ugly! Thunderstorms, big winds, major storm fronts in the forecast, high water >120 cms, etc. It is best to register so our leaders can send out timely instructions or cancellation!
Registration open April 7 to July 2.
