Over the years we try to paddle all the reaches of the Red Deer River and it has been sometime since we paddle the reaches above Drumheller.  Last year we finished at the Tolman Bridge.  I've been trying to book a group campground, but no luck so far... we maybe fighting on a first come - first serve basis for camping.  If this changes I will update this note and advise all registrants.  I have closed further registration until May 15 by which time I should have our camping options sorted out.

The plan is to gather Friday evening, or whenever you show up.  Then do day trips on the nearby reaches of the Red Deer river, these vary from about 14 to 20 kms.  The river is consistently Class I with very little Class II water around gravel bars, some gravel bar chutes and the occasional large glacial erratic in the river.

We do cancel if it is ugly! Thunderstorms, big winds, major storm fronts in the forecast, high water >150 cms, etc.  It is best to register so our leaders can send out timely instructions or cancellation!
