Ceyana Canoe Club
Neil has once again kindly invited us out to the Leduc Boat Club for a paddle and tour of one of the most comprehensive paddling centres in Alberta. For our first visit of 2024 we will meet at 7:00 PM and first head out for a paddle. Telford Lake is large enough that the club maintains a 2000 meter sprint course, and a circumnavigation is nearly 6 km. This lake has a lively bird population and June 20 should still be a good evening for birding, and viewing the recent hatchlings. Post paddle Neil will provide a tour of the facility to wet your appetite for the next trip out to LBC. Hopefully we can schedule a second vist to once again try out some of the other boats, in particular the Outrigger Canoes... Neil's 1st love. And this second visit will have to be worked around his trip trip back to the Island of Hawaii for the Sprint Outrigger Canoe World Championships.
For June 20 Ceyana paddlers should be able to book boats directly with Neil. Payment can either be by cash, debit card, or credit card at the counter. As a non-profit we rent the boats at 50% discount. That would be $15.00 for a Canoe, SUP, Tandem Kayak, and $10.00 for a solo kayak. It is possible to rent a solo tripper marathon canoe and a Jensen 17' tandem if your canoe skills are beyond basic.
