Day trip on North Saskatchewan River from Vinca Bridge (Hwy #38) to Waskatenau Bridge (Hwy #831), some 26 km, time on water 5 hours. We'll meet at the Vinca Bridge (left bank, access west of bridge) at 9:00 AM, unload, head down to the Hwy 831 Bridge and drop off vehicles, return to Vinca and hopefully have enough hauling capacity that no double shuttle is required. This is a pretty paddle, an easy paddle with usually good wildlife and pastoral scenery, and just over a ninety minute drive from Edmonton. Good flat water skills and the basic river skills ferrying and eddy turns required. Bring lunch, water, snacks and appropriate day gear for weather. Max 10 participants for event.
