This session will be some combination of hands-on, discussion and video materials focused on helping newer paddlers to understand the mechanics of river paddling, dangers, their avoidance, and rescue when needed.  And we will discuss appropriate equipment and procedures for safe river and whitewater paddling.  Participants will be encouraged to bring along their personal: throw bag, 1st Aid and pin kits.
